Pastor Gary Lawton lead a team to Nairobi, Kenya where they visited and ministered in the Kibera Slums. They took food and clothing to the poorest people in the largest slum in the world. They also conducted a VBS at a local school. Read the blog entries to hear more of the story.
The team landed in Entebbe and made their way to Kampala where they met up with these two characters. Use caution when approaching... they are not as harmless as they look. They will take a good bit of a large city captive for Christ! Along with the rest of the CCKLA staff, Pastors Brian Kelly and Josh Carlson are doing a great work in Kampala and many other places in Uganda.
After that encounter, it was decided that Ray should get out of town. He ended up going north to meet with Pastor Tobias of Maranatha Chapel Pashemi, Sudan. There, Ray conducted some pastoral training and encouragement for the SPLA Chaplains Corps.
